NaaS Launches the Smart Energy Supply Solutions at Chengdu Motor Show 2023
release time: 2023年08月25日 09:00

At the 26th Chengdu Motor Show (CMS) dated August 25, NaaS (NASDAQ: NAAS), China's first public EV charging stock, unveiled its smart energy supply solutions integrating charger, autonomous charging robot, integrated PV-storage-charging station construction and operation, go-global product testing and certification among other innovation-driven products and services, in a bid to boost development of the new energy service industry.

In recent years, thriving EV industry has provided an impetus to charger infrastructure and relevant services. According to data released by China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance (EVCIPA), as of this July, the cumulative number of charging infrastructure nationwide was 6.928 million units, an increase of 74.1% year-on-year, of which 2.211 million units were held by public chargers. Propelled by market and policy, EV charging service industry is now entering a new stage of development. Rolling out the improved smart energy supply solutions at the motor show, NaaS brings industrial innovation and service upgrading to a new level.

Customer consulting about charging service solution

In charging service, NaaS has set in place a charger product matrix across all categories and scenarios, covering various chargers, e.g., AC slow chargers, general fast chargers or high-power fast chargers. C6 intelligent DC charger, C9Pro split super-fast charger, 160kW-240kW DC dual-port integrated charger, and 480kW DC split chargers + liquid cooling terminal among other products came under the spotlight at the motor show. The intelligent charger series in particular is built with Android operating system and open underlying charging protocol and available for connectivity of multiple systems and channels, thus forming a universal "charger" - "service network" interconnected layout.

Pitched at autonomous driving, NaaS' self-developed autonomous charging robot is integrated with deep learning, V2X and many other technologies, breaks through limits of site and power capacity in fixed charger construction, and thus satisfies demand for easier and more efficient charging service. Car owners simply need to put an order via the phone with one click, then the autonomous charging robot will complete the whole process of automatic vehicle locating, precise parking, automatic docking, charging and undocking via mechanical arms, and automatic return and recharging, effectively enhancing car owners' charging experience.

Additionally, NewLink's CCICNL has secured implementation of "smart energy supply solutions" with regard to product testing and certification. CCICNL that rests on CCIC now houses 500+ laboratories worldwide and agrees with 22 international certification organizations to recognize the validity of certificates issued by each other. It has brought "one international test recognized by multiple countries" to a reality by providing consulting, evaluation, testing and certification services regarding supply chain safety and product access to global market and carbon neutrality of gas stations, charging stations and gas-charging stations. Recently, CCICNL has introduced China's first gas station star-level service ratings - NewLink Ranking, filling the gap of star-level service ratings in domestic energy consumption. The ranking system is aimed at promoting service quality and competitiveness of gas stations while engaging consumers in better refueling experience and powering high-quality development of the industry.

NaaS, China's first public EV charging stock, provides one-stop service package from consulting on site selection of charging stations, software/hardware procurement, EPC, operation & maintenance, energy storage, PV to autonomous charging robot inclusive to charger manufacturers, operators, OEMs and enterprises. As of Q1 2023, NaaS' charging service network covered 55,000 charging stations and 575,000 chargers with a charging volume of 1.023 billion kWh, representing 21% of the public charging volume in China. NaaS has realized connectivity with platforms of mainstream EV companies, including NIO, XPENG, Li Auto, Hyundai, AITO, Voyah, HiPhi, ARCFOX, Zeekr, etc., and entered into cooperation with major IOV firms, such as Ohways and Banma, as well as Internet-based and sharing platforms, e.g., Tencent Intelligent Mobility or Green Intelligent Link.

Since earlier this year, NaaS has seen rapid business development and advanced development and overseas layout of integrated PV-storage-charging solutions jointly with its partners. In June, NaaS took over Sinopower HK, a HK-based solar PV product and one-stop service provider, as an act of entering local distributed solar power station and EV charging service market. In August, NaaS concluded a partnership with Hyundai Motor Company (China), the world’s third largest auto corporation, whereby NaaS will provide one-stop smart charging service solution for Hyundai vehicles. Looking into the future, the parties will also jointly build branded charging stations. In its latest announcement, NaaS floats the idea of M&A of Charge Amps, a Sweden-based EV charging service solution provider. Taking a monumental step in tapping into global market, NaaS embarks on global journey in all respects. On August 24, NaaS concluded a strategic partnership with CR Capital MGMT, whereby the parties will engage in cooperation in incubation, investment and operation of digital and intelligent application of new energy, new energy infrastructure building and operation, and new energy asset securitization.
